Volunteer

We invite everyone with a student active in North Andover music programs to join the North Andover Music Association (NAMA) in supporting the ongoing growth and success of our music programs. 

No Experience Necessary – Please consider coming to shadow any board position to see the “behind the scenes” operation of getting the students to a marching band competition or other event!

Opportunities for long term support and leadership exist by becoming a board member. The NAMA board meets monthly in the evening and parents are welcome to attend meetings to see what we’re all about. Click here for position descriptions and vacancies: NAMA Board Responsibilities. Our parent-run organization provides all types of support for music students throughout the North Andover Public Schools. Volunteering at events such as fundraisers, uniform distributions, at concerts, and chaperoning at events such as competitions, football games, parades, and trips are some examples of how our volunteers contribute to the success of our programs. New volunteers are always welcome, and “on the job” training is included!! We invite all members of our community to attend, and volunteer for, all of our music events; you do not have to be a current student parent to volunteer!

Marching Band performance and competition events, usually occurring on weekend days during the fall, have specific needs such as:

• Equipment truck driver

• Bus chaperone

• Podium helper

• Pit equipment assistant

• Field volunteers
